Verse 1: I read from the Good Book is there where I'm going? you said "if we don't know Him, but we still got time". you leapt in the hammock we made from a parachute we found in the attic after lolo had passed. Verse 2: You said "come and get me" I did, yelling 'timber' and fell into the blanket punctuated with light that took long to reach us and when it arrived here it lit up my fingers on your infinite back If ever I'm hiding, please remind me of days like no other, invite me to gaze in your eyes verse 3: We painted the evening stayed up til' the morning as if we were dreaming conversation and fire that dripped from the Maple Ghost Tree that you loved so you said don't let me go as my lips sang in praise battle hymns gone ablaze If ever I'm hiding, please remind me of days like no other, invite me to gaze in your eyes and I will remember and I will surrender together igniting the stars in the sky

Passes Over 03:07
I once had these illusions there were monsters all around me I never did sleep soundly 'til I met you and the weight of the world put pressure on my eyelids when I woke up, I was blinded you stood near by the doorway and reminded me to Hold on, hold on, hold on I do, you do we do what's done is done, it's done Now I can carry you I once dreamt you were dying when I woke up, you were flying thank God you were beside me not in hiding from the Plagues of my hurt that comes and then passes over paint the door red getting closer we run down to the Red Sea parted wildly Hold on, hold on, hold on I do, you do we do what's done is done, it's done Now I can carry you

Bed of Nails 04:07
Verse 1: Someone shouted "Fire!" in the theatre so everybody hustled out... except for me, who wanted to devour my popcorn, the one I spent 4.99 on That's when I turned around and saw your haircut; it reminded me of that cockroach in Kafka well even with your funny hair, I wanted to be everywhere with you On a bed of nails would you like to lie down with me? Verse 2: I asked you for your name, and you said "No Name, because you didn't choose my name" you said you got it strictly from your "parents, and they preferred to call me Jane" you smile caused a chemical reaction as if I reached critical mass... I must be glowing from the radiation which must have caused my mouth to ask On a bed of nails would you like to lie down with me? If this is how if feels to be living, then I want to lie low again Bridge: And maybe this night was just a mere illusion alright but maybe this was meant to be like planets in collision with comets, making sonnets Verse 3: I guess the angels landed all around us disguised themselves as fallen snow we skipped about like astronauts on moondust and watched the Earth go down below when suddenly the air became a prayer and suddenly my heart was wide... expanding through the universe of matter and darkness I ran to you and you replied On a bed of nails would you like to lie down with me? If this is how if feels to be living, then I want to lie low again

We found her place in 4 acts Crawled up the stairs on our backs discovered secret cracks through the walls in the hall they were filled with letters; she slammed the door to make noise I heard a thrill in her voice "hand over all your stuff" and I did what she said she's a good cop, bad cop Verse 2: For violating all laws She pushed me down with full force and tied me, with her mouth, to the base of the couch nothing could be better than spend our lives together I am humbled, filled with letters I slipped through secret cracks through the walls of her chest as she slid her sweater down The Night In Her Apartment Has Begun The Night In Her Apartment Has Begun

I was up, reading Matthew 9 meditating how the Son of Man shined through the clouds In my dreams, I traveled back in time and ended up in the body of the guy who was paralyzed, the teachers were all frowns. He told them "why do you entertain evil thoughts in your heart?", he said he went close, looked me right in the eye calmly cried "for you I'd raise the Dead" You were up, talking to your dad your mouth was like a rubber band that snapped back it was loud and you thought that maybe this was it said sorry for your sins that were like wall cracks 'til your castle crumbled to the ground. And then your life flashed before your eyes you saw me down by the tidal wave you took me by the hand, and then we ran up the mountain, every step we said for you i'd raise the dead I don't know what I could have without you you heard me say I waded in the river 'til I shivered for you to make sense of all of this We were up looking at the sky the moon was like the Eucharist in blue light and the hum of God was all around then we lay down, hidden in the grass waiting for teardrops from the clouds that gathered around us, and you were sad but don't be sad for you i'd raise the dead
